குடும்ப வன்முறை செய்யத்தெரியாத பெண்கள்!

வெளிநாட்டுக்காரர்கள் கொடுக்கும் கூலிக்கு விசுவாசமுடன் இயற்றப்பட்டுள்ள குடும்ப வன்முறைத் தடுப்புச் சட்டம் என்ன சொல்கிறதென்றால் இந்தியாவில் ஆண்தான் எப்போதும் குடும்ப வன்முறையில் ஈடுபடுவதாகவும், பெண் எப்போதும் பாதிக்கப்படுவதாகவும் கூறுகிறது. இதை இந்தக் காலத்து மருமகள்கள் நன்றாகப் பயன்படுத்தி கணவனின் குடும்பத்தை பொய் வழக்குகள் மூலம் சிதைத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள்.

Key Features of Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act 2005

• Definition of DV based on UN Framework for Model Legislation on Domestic Violence & UN Declaration on Elimination of Violence Against Women (GA Res. 48/104 of 1993)
• Unambiguous recognition of the woman’s right to live free from violence.
• Provides immediate relief to victims in cases of emergency
• The right to reside in shared household – recognizes inequality within the home
• Ensures effective access to justice – introduces new authorities & mechanisms (PO as the interface between the woman and the court)

Coverage – Who can Complain : "Aggrieved Person" [Section 2(a)]

• Any woman who is or has been in a domestic relationship with the respondent (sisters, widows, mothers, daughters, women in relationships of cohabitation, victims of bigamous marriages, single women etc.) and Who has been subjected to acts of domestic violence

Against Whom Can A Complaint be Filed :“Respondent” [Section 2 (q)]

• Any adult male member who has been in a domestic relationship with the woman who files a complaint of domestic violence.
• Relatives of the husband or the male partner.
  
• Includes both male and female relatives of husband or the male partner.

பீளமேடு,உடையாம்பாளையம் நேதாஜி மெயின்ரோட்டில் வசிப்பவர் நாகராஜ்(73). இவருக்கும், மகன்களுக்கும் இடையே நீண்ட நாட்களாக குடும்பத்தகராறு உள்ளது. நேற்று முன்தினம் ஏற்பட்ட தகராறில் ஆத்திரமடைந்த இவரது மருமகள் உமா மகேஸ்வரி(40), இரும்புக் கம்பியால் மாமனாரின் தலையை தாக்கி, கொலை மிரட்டல் விடுத்தார். பீளமேடு போலீசார் விசாரித்து உமா மகேஸ்வரியை கைது செய்தனர்.
